Contact: William Potoczak, President of the AIDS Taskforce of GreaterCleveland (216.621.0766)

Effective today, Earl Pike is no longer the CEO/Executive Director of the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland. Chief Operating Officer Tracy Jones has assumed the added responsibility of Interim Executive Director while the agency searches for a permanent replacement for Pike.

Jones joined the Taskforce in 1999 as Director of Education. Since 2000, Jones has been the Taskforce's Associate Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to coming to the Taskforce, Jones worked as an HIV Prevention Coordinator and AIDS Coordinator in the Cleveland Department of Health. Her 14 years of HIV/AIDS experience includes 2 and a half years teaching HIV prevention to high-risk heterosexual women and teens. Jones holds a master's degree in Non-Profit Organization Management from Case Western Reserve University and a bachelor's degree from Kent State University.

"We appreciate Tracy's willingness to step forward and take on these added duties," said AIDS Taskforce Board President Bill Potoczak. "This transition will not, in any way, interfere with the ability of the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland to serve our clients and to provide a compassionate and collaborative response to the needs of people infected, affected and at risk of HIV/AIDS." Potoczak added, "We will always be grateful to Earl for his role in guiding this agency for the last 13 years and for his lifelong dedication to community service."
